Trauma Treatment

What Is Trauma?

Trauma can be defined as a psychological, emotional response to an event or an experience that is deeply distressing. Survivors of trauma can be left with feelings of anger, shame, isolation and despair.

PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) can develop after you have been exposed to an intensely traumatic event. You can feel guilt or responsibility for the event, and even hopelessness. Anyone can experience trauma, regardless of race, gender, economic status, or religious background.

How Do I Begin Counseling for Trauma?

Trauma therapy can help reduce fear and anxiety, build trust within yourself and others, and offer validation and perspective to your experiences. With treatment, you can begin to recover from trauma and feel safe again. Contact us today to get started on the road to healing.
